Patient FAQ’s

Is the office wheelchair accessible?
Our office is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like us to make any special arrangements for you. We want to make your visit as comfortable as possible for you.

Can I schedule an appointment for a cleaning only?
Without an evaluation performed by the Doctor, we are unable to determine what your specific treatment needs are.  Based on your exam, the doctor will be able to diagnose the proper cleaning recommended for you. We offer several types of cleanings to fit your needs and we want to be sure that we allow proper time for the service to be performed.

Are dental x-rays really necessary?
YES. Many diseases, lesions, and conditions can only be detected with the use of dental radiographs. It is impossible to see directly between the teeth or under the gums or bone without the use of a dental radiograph. Many times the patient has no signs or symptoms of disease. Dental x-rays can detect disease much sooner than the clinical examination alone. This enables the dentist to identify problems early so that pain and extensive, costly treatment can be avoided.

Do you see children?
YES! Lakeview Dentistry encourages parents to bring their children into the office as soon as they can see teeth erupting.  This can be as early as six months of age.  The sooner a child can be brought to the dental office, the earlier any issues that may be present can be detected.  This also gives us the opportunity to talk about the child’s diet and tips for brushing and prevention of dental decay.

Can my 17 year old bring his 6 year old sister to their appointment?
Unfortunately all patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during an office visit.

Are you accepting new patients?
YES we are! Your initial appointment as a new patient to Lakeview Dentistry includes a comprehensive exam, x-rays and a consultation. At the time of the consultation, the office manager will go over your treatment plan and pricing options and will schedule you for any future appointments.

I have no dental insurance– do I have any options?
We do offer financing through Care Credit and Lending Club. They have a very high approval rate and you can apply either online, over the telephone or in our office at the time of your visit. Please keep in mind that we require two forms of identification to set up the financing. Click here for the online Lending Club Application. Click here for the Lending Club payment calculator.
